Mostly adroid 4.0 boasts ”Easy multitasking, rich notifications, customizable home screens, resizable widgets, and deep interactivity — and adds powerful new ways of communicating and sharing.Minor improvements include better copy and paste, data logging and warnings and, at last, the opportunity to easily grab screenshots by holding down the power and the volume buttons.

The keyboard and dictionaries have also been improved a lot, . “Error correction and word suggestion are improved through a new set of default dictionaries and more accurate heuristics for handling cases such as double-typed characters, skipped letters, and omitted spaces. Word suggestion is also improved and the suggestion strip is simplified to show only three words at a time.”

There are a host of virtual buttons that appear at the bottom of the screen in some apps and allow users access to areas of the device like phone and contacts.

These are located in the System Bar – present in all apps – and enables you to navigate instantly to Back, Home, and Recent Apps. Virtual buttons are present across all apps, but can be dimmed by applications for full-screen viewing.

You can also access the contextual options for each app in the Action Bar at the top of the screen.

The voice control has been improved a lot , with a new voice engine.

Facial Recognition

Previous version of android introduced a new way of unlocking the lock screen instead of entering a pass code as usual one has to draw a specific pattern on the screen . In android 4.0 further new feature has been added namely facial recognition that does what it says.

Folders

Also you can now create folders and put apps in them as in ios ,you can do this just by dragging icons on top of one another. From the All Apps launcher, you can now drag an app to get information about it or uninstall it should you wish.

As speculated earlier amazon.com after entering the e-reader market with the Kindle E-reader has now jumped into the tablet market by introducing Kindle Fire !

Amazon introduced the Kindle Fire today, a 7-inch Android tablet for $199— a good three hundred dollars cheaper than the iPad. Amazon also will be offering regular and touch Kindles at seriously attractive prices, starting at $79. Further sweetening the pot, free 3G will be offered in the Kindle touch 3G.

Amazon’s making it almost impossible not to own a Kindle in one form or another. If you just want an ereader, the $79 Kindle is 30% lighter (5.98 ounces) than previous Kindles. A $99 version will add touch navigation. And the top-of-the-line Kindle touch 3G is $149, with the free 3G access. All three models still sport the e-ink technology.

The Kindle Fire Tablet is the big announcement, today, however. This souped-up Kindle is also an Android tablet with dual-core processor, a multi-touch IPS display, and light 14.6 ounce weight. To get to the inexpensive $199 price point, Amazon left out a camera and microphone, and it will only be available with Wi-Fi, not 3G. Some neat details:

  • The Whispersync technology that brings ebooks quickly to Kindles will work to sync movies and TV shows from Amazon’s growing library to the Fire.
  • A new Silk browser, which partially resides on Amazon’s cloud servers, pre-loads pages to speed up browsing.
  • Starts shipping November 15; It would take some time to launch in Pakistani market !

What do you think? Will you be buying a Kindle?

Stored Passwords!

Do you think your stored passwords in your browser are safe ? Then think again !

The saved passwords in browser are not safe at all , anybody trying to get hands on your accounts can easily do so.

There are two ways your passwords can be stolen :

1. Somebody hooks a usb drive to your PC and within seconds he can get all the stored passwords on your Pc , from browsers , email clients and chat messengers etc. ( There are tools available that automate this process so it takes on 2 ,3 seconds !

2.One of the most common ways of stealing accounts and other valuable details are botnets , trojans etc for general readers lets just call them viruses , Everyday new viruses are created by hackers and they make way to your computer through downloads and torrents etc . All though viruses can do anything to your Pc like , destroying your data and corrupting your system some viruses are specially designed for stealing information .

What ! Then how can i protect myself !

Well there are several ways to protect yourself lets take a look :

1. In your office or any other place anybody can hook up a usb pre-loaded with tools to extract your passwords ,

  • First of all be vigilant ,
  • Password protect and lock your computer when away from it
  • Take extra steps for safety of your Laptop
  • You can disable usb functionality so that no usb other than yours can connect to your Pc ( Just search the web for the method)
  • Don’t allow access to anyone to your Pc in your absence

2. Millions of Pc are affected by viruses each year , you might know several ways to protect yourselves e.g

  • Install and Regularly update your antivirus
  • Keep firewall On
  • Look twice when downloading anything e.g look at the source , the size of file , the best way is to always download from trusted websites. Viruses can be embed into music files , software and even docs and pictures

Further preventive measures!

I would recommend use a password protection manager e.g Last Pass .Last pass adds an additional layer of security to your Passwords . It is available as an extension for all browsers . It stores your passwords on its secured servers and allows access only by entering your master password , it does all the work of a default browser password manager like storing passwords , form data , and other notes etc . All securely stored in their servers and also you need to remember only your master password and can access your accounts safely from any browser or Pc securely without remembering all of your passwords!

Last Words !

Prevention is better than cure , Stay SAFE !

It might be hard for you to stay updated with the requirements  of the current games . If you want to go for a budget gamers pc without emptying your wallet neither want to upgrade it every six months here is our guide.

This guide will help you build a gamers pc on budget that will meet your requirements for the couple of next years and be easily upgradeable !

Processor

Lets start with the processor , it is the brain of the pc and most of the games require processor having two core i.e dual core processors .

”"

Among the intel’s dual core processors , like dual core , core 2 duo etc and the latest i-series .

We found that Intel core 2 duo E-7000 series are enough, their price is roundabout Rs11000.

Motherboard

If the processor is the brain the motherboard is like the Central nervous system of the pc. It is necessary that you choose one that supports current and future models of processors , ram and graphics card etc etc.

Our recommendation is the Asus p5p41c motherboard , it supports the latest processors , sata , ddr2 and ddr3 both Ram and PCI express slot for graphics card which most new ones support! Price about Rs.4500

Ram

I will go with a single 4gb Kingston Ram about Rs4000 , It will be easier to upgrade later if you use one , the rule about the Ram memory is the more the better , hence go for the maximum you can afford !

Graphics Card

Grpahics card is the central requiremnt for the current games , there are numerous to choose from depending on your budget and the type of games you are playing but for most of you XFX Radeon HD 5670 would be enough to play the games and last for a couple of years before the upgrade ! about Rs.6000

So these are the basic requirements of a budget Rig , you might need the peripherals like mouse , keyboard, monitor and not to mention Hard disk , Dvd-rom and casing but all these depend on your choice and preferance , you may want to use these from your old Pc or buy new one , all depends on you
